When we started Gandy Gallery in 1997, our
goal was to make fine realist art readily available to the world through
our web site. We now regularly receive emails and guestbook entries
from art lovers the world over thanking us for bringing such wonderful
artwork into their lives. We truly appreciate the compliments and feedback
we receive from you, our patrons.
As we continue to pursue our goals and
business objectives, we are continually looking for ways to enhance
our site and add enjoyment and value to our patrons lives. Realizing
that many of the paintings we offer are beyond the financial reach of
most art lovers, we have sought to develop a method of producing affordable
fine art prints that meet our expectations for quality. Only recently
has the technology been developed to meet our high standards. During
2001, we spent considerable time and monetary resources evaluating printing
technologies including lithography, inkjet, lamda, piezo, giclee, and
others.
Working with one of the premier print
production facilities in the country, we have developed a process, which
we call Renaissance. After scanning at high resolution, we apply
transparent glazes over the image in PhotoShop to achieve subtle tonal
adjustments and amazing image fidelity. Renaissance prints are
output directly from our high resolution digital files to a state of
the art imagesetter, which uses 3 lasers to transfer the image onto
a special archival light-sensitive media with an apparent 4,000 dpi
resolution and estimated permanence of 70 years. This is more than double
the permanence of lithographs, inkjets, most giclee prints, and standard
photographs.
Your print order will be shipped via Fedex and should arrive within
7 working days from the time we receive your order. If you include your
email on the order form, we will confirm receipt of your order.
Gandy Gallerys Renaissance prints exhibit beautiful saturated
color, semi-gloss finish, and subtle surface texture.
